JOANNA KALINOWSKA
Eternity
I would have you beside me
for an instant of eternity
for a breath, a sight
before you dissolve into the
air
my tired heart
blooms in this vibrating
light of spring
to touch you would mean to
cut the edge of mystery
hidden under the seventh veil
of truth
and be able to fly away like
a bird
even if you are only an
illusion
Astral
I know I must leave early
to dance among the clouds
marvellously light and bright
maybe one day the shade of my
naked feet
will touch the reflexes of
the sun on the wall of your room
and il will be like a
greeting behind the cover of time
and you’ll answer with the
smile not even knowing why...
Our Home
we look at the stars in deep
night
looking for directions of the
road
lost in the endless space of
the cosmos
admiring the infinity of time
and space
we feel small
desperately trying not to get
lost in eternity
we created our father who
lives in heaven
but trying to understand him
we feel lost and confused
disturbed by their own
intellect
we sail on the waves of
thoughts
to overcome the limits of
reason that still deceives us
the island of consciousness
drifts without a route on the sea
and the cloud of ego wanders
aimlessly across the sky
as if our life was a ship
we have no idea if it will be
enough
courage to get to know
yourself
day after day, all our life
experimenting with each step
the risk of giving the best
of everything
slowly approaching the limits
of endurance
learning each other until
full consciousness
because it's us ourselves
we will look through the
vastness of infinity
able to exceed in each moment
the threshold of our future
we cannot choose the places
we came from
but it is up to us to decide
where to go
The Horizon
I cannot just recover
looking at the sea and the
sky, that is so blue.
Crystal azure sea,
sky with an intense color
like this
that it seems painted.
How many times have I looked
at them,
searching for my soul
somewhere...
Where the sea covers the sky,
watching each and every change,
sky which is like a huge
glass lampshade
it covers the ground,
emanating rare light
emerald gold, gray and lilac,
with different shades that
connect everywhere
moving various elements
in an uninterrupted exchange,
eternal metamorphosis of
matter.
But this shade closes us; the
blue is like a dream,
horizon is a line that limits
us.
The outside world is only a
reflection
inner world,
a delusion of the mind that
still deceives us.
We live in the illusion of
the mind,
why our brain
can not open to all consciousness?
How to free yourself from the
restrictions of entries,
which old culture imposes on
us?
How to open our eyes
on the vastness of infinity?
At high altitudes
the blue of the sky becomes
more intense and dark
and I cannot reach the height
on which there are higher
worlds...
Where we can tear off
a veil from the face of truth
and reach its depth.
Where ubiquitous love will
seize us,
leading us to their
infinitude.
JOANNA KALINOWSKA
JOANNA KALINOWSKA, says about
herself, that she was born under a wandering star. She, as a child (a daughter
of an officer), often moved from one place to another. These constant changes
taught her the openness and the willingness to meet new people and places. She
spent many years in Poland. Fifteen years ago she moved to Italy. She has
always been writing but she publishes now. Her book “Ascoltando Azzurro
–Wsłuchana w błękit” was written so that people who speak different languages
can express the same feelings. Three volumes of her poetry were edited and her
poems were printed in various anthologies and magazines. She writes and
publishes in two languages, both Polish and Italian. She loves these two
countries. They are her homelands. She arranged “The Amici Italia-Polonia
Association”. Its headquarters there is in Taranto — the city where she lives
and works. She is a teacher, but she actually works as a translator and an
activist of the Polish community. She is a member of the Warsaw Association of
Literature’s Translators. Joanna works for the Italian literary-cultural group
“La Vallisa”, too. She also cooperates with magazine of this group. She is the
initiator and organizer of many cultural and social events.
